Overview
On March 9, English teaching staff from the four campuses attended a professional learning day with the focus on marking strategies. The professional learning was facilitated Fiona Willis. Fiona identified an opportunity to share knowledge, skills and experience gained from marking the 2020 HSC English Advanced paper.
This professional learning was an example of colleagues learning from an internal expert, sharing knowledge and practice as well as strengthening their collective efficacy. This cross campus approach to sharing by an expert teacher is aligned to both staff and student learning needs, and, therefore has a greater influence on classroom practice.
